Activity 8: Greg for Class President

Greg is running for class president. Who in your class will beat him for this spot? Select different students for different positions in a class government (ie, president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, etc). At the beginning of this activity you should have your students fill out a voter registration card. It could be one you make up or something like this:

 

After all of your students have registered it is time to start campaigning! Have them make posters and little speeches that they can share with the class. By the end of the week you can have your students vote. Make a ballot for each class government position and have them bubble who they would like to choose. You can even make little booths, made out of a three sided presentation board, where the students can vote privately. When everyone has voted you can have a party and name the winners!
